For those of you who wanna know, here's the info on the event from SFGate.com:
"This is a celebration of the opening of New People, a four-story complex dedicated to Japanese pop culture that features an art gallery; a movie theater dedicated to Japanese film; shops featuring cool, kawaii (cute) and crazy J-pop music, clothing, toys and accessories; and a cafe that serves gourmet bentos and Blue Bottle Coffee. Highlights include a discussion and autograph session with Yoshitaka Amano, exhibitor booths lining Post Street, a Gothic and Lolita fashion show where you can get a taste for the newest dark and lovely trends in Japanese street fashion, a screening of the "20th Century Boys" action trilogy, and live music by all-girl pop-punk bands Red Bacteria Vacuum, Noodles and TsuShiMaMiRe."
I'm definately gonna try to make it out there tomorrow.

Me and Joyce went to this and the event was kinda cool. Lot of street vendors, tons of harajuku folks walkin around. The only negative was they had tons of exhaust fumes from a generator or cars?
ReplyDeleteI think next year I'll come dressed as Hard-o Gay.
Cool. Hope you took pics.
ReplyDeleteI missed out on the event because I was working out with Kris...
