Ah, beautiful downtown SF...

has just about everything.

Plenty of trendy shopping. Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. Great places to eat. Kris Aquino's Moscone Center. Crowds of people. Noise. Excitement.

But all this time, something was missing...

Target. Yes, Target.

As reported by The Chronicle/SFgate, preliminary discussion has begun with Metreon owner Westfield about the possibility of a Target on the building's second floor.

As could be expected, this move will most likely be blocked (or at least delayed) much in the same fashion as Home Depot (now coming soon Lowes) in Bernal Heights.

I for one am a Target shopper and do like the chain. Yet, I find it difficult to imagine a Target at the Metreon location or surrounding area.

This does follow a trend previously discussed with Roid; 20 years from now there will only be 3 stores. Costco, Walmart and of course Target (geez, not even a Ross?!).

No malls. No specialty stores.

Metreon, the site where I've watched great films, ate good food, got hit on by Eliza Dushku

(well sorta), bought the latest Japanese Anime and even went clubbin'....will maybe become a Target.

Not bad. Just odd.

Golden State of Emergency

(as seen first seen via email)

You know, I was ready to completely disagree with Extenze-licious here but I've reconsidered. Maybe we got this all wrong.

Maybe we never should have traded Jack. Maybe we shouldn't trade Monta. Maybe we shouldn't trade anyone. Like ever again.

No one is allowed to leave. Keep them all. Make this unwatchable and unlivable. Let them fight each other and talk their shit. Let the media feast on them like vultures. Let the Oracle decay into a post apocalyptic vision only seen in Mad Max films (and a Tupac video).

Fans...hell, people will disappear. Let this all go to hell. Watch it all burn to the ground.

Maybe then Cohan-job and his horror show will escape through a black hole (not necessary in a Raider sense) never to be seen again.

We will then (maybe decades later) fondly dream of the day that an actual NBA team in the Bay Area will exist similar to the LA Clippers.

But until then....

Monta for Gay would be good. But will never happen. Monta for David Lee would be good. But will never happen.

The Jackson trade is probably the barometer for all trades going forward (i.e. Monta for the likes of Delonte, Wally, Ilguaskas, Duhon, Telfair, Foyle, etc. ).

Bosh or anyone like that wont come here regardless of cap room (or via trade).

In the end, I really don't care who we trade or lose. With Team Cohan we will always lose.

Larry Ellison is not walking through that door.....is he?

p.s. Wow, I'm in a odd mood.

Funny little clip from Yahoo! Sports. I'm sure some of ya'll that own Maurice Jones-Drew on your fantasy team must of been upset when he decided to take a knee right before the goal line during Sunday's game. So inconsiderate. ha.
