...because he doesn't want his perfect record tarnished.

His nickname is 'Money' so he knows that a fight with the Pacman will earn him more than he did when he fought De La Hoya. He will eventually get into talks about fighting Manny. The problem is who will be getting more of the money split between the two. Personally it should be 50/50 but Floyd may want more than that!!!
ReplyDeleteIt has to be 50/50. Even Manny knows what he's worth and he wouldn't want Floyd to get more than him. This could be a long and nagging negotiation, but the fight is bound to place nonetheless. I'm thinking July 2010?
ReplyDeleteheheh. Mayweather does sound pretty dumb.
ReplyDeleteI disagree with Roid. I can imagine a situation where Manny does take in less than Mayweather.
Thus far, Manny seems less interested in the politics of boxing and instead takes fights that he wants.
Mayweather needs the larger payoff to secure a positive gain regardless of whether he can beat Manny or not.
I think there will be rematches for their fight anyway. Manny can make up the money with those.
pacman is the bigger draw. floyd will want more but the fight should be 40/40 with the winner gettin the extra 20%
ReplyDeletepacman on jimmy kimmel! pretty cool

First option of where the fight should take place is of course Vegas but their are talks of maybe having the fight @ the new Cowboys stadium in Dallas. Dang, they could probably fit over 100,000 for a boxing event over there. That's would be crazy if its in Dallas!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt would be kinda of a throwback like when Ali fought in Yankee Stadium, the enviroment would be similar!
have the fight at the mission rock parking lot.
ReplyDeletemaybe your sister can get me on the guestlist and brian can dance with her friend.
then have the afterparty at lucky chances and call it a night.
