New Logos!

Those creative folks at ESPN's "Page 2" decided to redesign some pro sport team logos to illustrate their current performance.

I dig.

Here's the NBA...

In Warrior News...

ESPN's "Weekend Dime" state that the Charlotte Bobcats are the most likely location for former team captain and rain maker Stephen Jackson.

The deal could be: Borris Diaw for Turiaf and Jack

But really....

The deal would more likely be: Nazr Mohammed, Vladimir Radmanovic for Jack and/or Acie Law and/or Devean George.

It continues to be a great time out.

A Golden State Filipino: Raymond Townsend

While many of us are finding ways to protest the awful W's this season, let's take a look back, way back, to the pre-Great Time Out days and recognize a Warrior from our own backyard... or in this case, blood. Could it be, an NBA Filipino basketball player? Yes, his name is Raymond Townsend (not to be confused with Robert Townsend, the actor).

Raymond Townsend was born in San Jose in 1955. His mother is Filipina. He played 4 years at UCLA under the legendary John Wooden and was given All-American honors in his senior year. In the 1978 NBA Draft, Townsend was drafted 22nd in the First Round by the Warriors- his NBA career lasted for 4 years, ending with the Indiana Pacers, and later playing overseas.

With the rise of "Filipino Heritage" events throughout professional sports, Townsend is looking to be an ambassador for the NBA and Filipino communities. His current endeavor is the Filipino Hoops and Heritage Night Tour which begins with the LA Clippers. Yes, the Clippers.

Yes, I'd like a tall Cap'n Crunch Frap!

Hello fellow Aww Yeahhh-sters, it's been a minute since my last post. Here's a new site that is starting spread amongst local foodies. Check out HiddenMenu.com. In fact, the site's author came to Poleng Lounge about 2 weeks ago to taste our "hidden" aka secret menu items- from Bangus to Grilled Gizzards. Some of the coolest "hidden menu" items listed are from Starbucks (Cap'n Crunch Frappuccino) and Pizzeria Delfina (Fried Meatball Calzone).

Warriors Fans Should Do This Too!!!!

You hate how the W's management(well mismanagement is a better word) are running their organization to the ground as usual, well why not protest like how the Cleveland Browns fans are doing. Maybe by doing this, Cohan will actually care that the W's are doing bad or just care at all.
