Should the Niners McNabb Him

Their are articles saying that the Eagles have expressed interest in trading one their three QBs(Donovan, Vick, and Kolb) and the most likely to be traded is McNabb. The Rayduhs seem to have the most interest of getting him. But should the niners get him. I'm on the fence on this one, McNabb is a pro-bowl QB and would instantly help the niners getting into the playoffs for the next 2-3 years. He would also help groom Nate Davis to be the QB of the future for the niners. On the other hand Donovan is heading closer to the finish line of his NFL career and hasn't played a full season in five years. Plus they have that alex smith guy over in Santa Clara. So should Jed, Paraag, Singletary, the receptionist, or whoever the hell is making the decision for the niners pull off a trade for Donovan??

  1. I don't want Mcnabb, I just say on ESPN that he is in the last year of his contract and if he doesnt sign long term, they'll have to franchise him next year which will pay him roughly 20 mil since Brady/Peyton/Etc are getting long term contracts.

    NO THANKS!

  2. I am all for a bold move like this. Getting McNabbb would be a coup for the middling Niners.

McNabbb is in the last year of a contract but may like the young talent in SF after a year to test drive them. The lure of a Vikings or an Arizona will always be there but for a team that is almost a good team, this can make them great.

We can finally send Alex away and worry about playoff games. Playoffs?! Playoffs?!

  3. as much as I like the niners making such a bold move, Mcnabb is 34 and not the player he once was. Definitely on the decline and an injury risk.
