Heinz now made with Real Sugar! Filipinos rejoice!!

Obviously, for most Pinoys/Pinays (not the AOL chatroom) this is great news.

(Ok, Heinz Ward isn't Filipino or made of ketchup but I digress.)

Heinz and Hunt's recently made the switch from high fructose corn syrup to real sugar. High fructose corn syrup is often seen as the culprit for America’s continued weight and health problems.

In the politics of food, this type of switch is noteworthy. This marks a change that was made strictly due to consumer response. High Fructose Corn Syrup is cheaper to use, thus more companies use it. Consumer response must have been Filipi...uh...I mean so strong that both companies opted for the more expensive sugar.

This also has been seen recently with the obvious test marketing run of Pepsi Throwback drinks.

I feel that the change is better health wise and simply tastes better. Coming soon to Lucky Chances.
