Matt Maiocco reports that Scotty Too Hotty may step down as GM. The question is now...when?

The timing of this news has got to add unnecessary intrigue (or chaos) to the upcoming draft and season. It may also loom large in the mind of any college player available when the Niners do pick.

From what I can tell, there has been no one groomed to take Scott's place. Maybe this is the start of rotating GMs much like our offensive coordinator position. Innovative! This is the out of the box thinking that fans can get behind!

I mean, if this is it, Scotty has had a very mixed tenure.
