I'm not sure if you guys were watching the last portion of last nights Warriors vs butt-Nuggets game but I gotta say that was some of the worst officiating I've seen in a very long time. It was so bad that I even sent the NBA a message about the officiating here, http://www.nba.com/email_us/contact_us.html
Here's a small clip, you have to start at 4:00 but there's a clip where Maggette, clearly has possession of the ball and is calling timeout by making the T and by yelling it and the official calls a jumpball. I won't even go into the Monte call because he clearly whiffed.
I also saw the ending of the game too. The refs messed up big time. One lesson to be learned and hopefully the W's already know this: Do not let the game be that close or else the refs may take over and decide on who wins!!! This especially targets teams like the W's since they are not a very good team(well they havent been since we already know).
ReplyDeleteIf you watched SportsCenter, they only mention that Monta fouled Smith and didn't even show the Maggette timeout. If this were a playoff game or a Laker/Celtic regular season game, it would be a top story on SC. But since its warriors, they're like 'whatever, we ain't making no segment on the warriors.'
I bet Chris Cohan is hoping the W's fans take this outrage by going to Oracle and be suckered in for another Warrior defeat!!!!
Since I am a kings fan let me put in my 2 cents. First off the warriors did get hosed when Maggette grabbed a rebound and called a timeout. BUt if you listened to Jim Barnett with the Monta Ellis foul he raised a good point. Monta shouldn't had been now where near him. There was no way that J.R. Smith could had made that shot cuz he was far away away and the shot was almost at half court with 1.4 seconds left plus Smith had to turn around and dribble the basketball to pull that shot off. HE was not going to make that shot.
ReplyDeleteBut You guys got screwed. Not Like My Kings in the 2002 Western conference finals but at least you Warrior fans got a taste of what kings fans have been cursed with for years.
