So, I've been wondering about how everyone (who does blog) likes the general appearance or style of the blog. I would like it if we all chimed in on this one.
Got suggestions??
For instance, I personally would like to change a few things. I think we could look into a different color scheme (I love the Warriors but I would like to see something else), a more interesting looking title (new font, an image or logo) , maybe a different title to the blog (how bout "awww f*ck yeahhh"? just a thought) , add other folk's local teams to the roto (i.e. Kings, Raiders, A's), adding the advisory warning page prior to signing in, etc.
Or hell, maybe y'all think that this is fine as it is. Let's discuss.
why do we have a video bar of how to apply eye makeup? i want some hard gay on there instead.

ReplyDeleteThe three biggest components are:
1) Column width: Stick to two? Personally, I'd like go three. Aww yeahhh.
2) Color scheme: I like a simpler design, but current style was chosen because of the inception of our blog -- W's draft night.
3) Banner design: The title is and has been a placeholder. We need someone - ahem, LeRoid -- to design a wide banner, so we can plaster that up top as the main logo.
Thanks, Brian, for taking the lead on opening the dialogue for impending changes. The more collaboration we can get in the next few days, the sooner we can incorporate changes.
BTW, the video bar is automatically updated via YouTube, per latest and most recent uploads.

I honestly think the layout is just fine the way it is. You can change the font into Century Gothic (no bold or italic needed). But everything works just fine the way it is right now.
ReplyDeleteIf anything, you can make the layout colors for the winning team for whatever the current sport season it is. Since football is starting right now, whoever wins the most current 9ers Vs 'whoever' game gets the winning team's colors as the layout color for the week. The winning team's logo as the background image should work with it as well.
How about we vote of what color combos we all want on here. Here are some other suggestions:
ReplyDelete- Create tabs that will have blog archives, news on the other bay area sport teams(A's, Rayduhs, and Sac Kings) and current bay area events that we have interest of attending
- For the home page, leave the layout the way it is except that we have side bar on the left in addition we currently have on the right. The left side bar will show the contributors of this blog, more video bars, and when we have sponsors(hahaha!!!) it could be placed on the left side as well. The right side will continue to have the news from the G-men, Niners, and W's!!!
can we get some niner colors on here? please?
