The King of Pop

Here's my 2 cents (the rest of my money is going either to Phil's girl's college fund or Monica's shoes).

Somehow I truly feel sorry for the man. He was born into abuse, poor, gained fame, became an Icon, feared the outside world, hurt children, spent the better part of the last few years being called "Wacko Jacko" (which I actually think is hillarious!), having faux romances (Lisa Marie Presley, the love interest from the video for "The Way You Make Me Feel,Naomi Cambell), paying a women to have his children, mental illness, public embarrassments (too many to list actually), failed music releases, illness and dying maybe too soon.

Yet, after a telling Vh1 Doc about him and by being a fan myself, I truly feel sadness for the man. I will forever remember him for his music and in particular these songs...

  2. Heheh. That's a good one too. Wasn't that one produced by R.Kelly or something? I suddenly realize that they have bad things in common. Moving on...

I also liked "Remember The Time", "Human Nature" (even the SWV version was good), "Rock With You", among others.

    Great music for sure.

  3. Like almost everyone in our generation, I grew up listening to him during rise to the top in the 80s. Hopefully he will be remembered more about his music than scandals during the last 10-15 years and he should be!!!!! Long live the King of Pop!!!!

  4. Hmmm...you know how folks pour out a lil' alcohol at times like this.

Would it be mean to pour out Pepsi?

    Sigh. I'm going to hell.
