Smith vs Rodgers

Tale of two QB's!

I'm tired of watching Smith stink it up with constant 3 and outs!! With only 5 yards passing in the first half, I really need the niners to draft a QB in the 1st round this upcoming draft.

What I don't like about Smith's game.

- He only does good outta the shotgun. Seriously, this ain't the run and shoot. My QB needs to come out from under snap. Plus, the only running plays outta the shotgun are draws, the niners best player on O(Gore) needs a to take handoffs from the snap.

- He locks on to players. I've seen him look to Vernon and continue to throw to him
even though he's triple covered. Compared to Rodgers who goes through his progressions and moves onto the next receiver when ones covered.

- The balls he throws are more of desperation as opposed to be pinpoint. It's funny as soon as I wrote this, Crabs got his first TD. Congrats Crabs, but if you look at the ball, it was more of a jumpball play that Crabs beat the DB on as opposed to a clean ball that only Crabs could catch. \

I could go on and on with Smith's deficiencies but it's something to discuss as my laptop battery life only lasts 4 hours.

I don't watch must college ball but if Bradford of Mccoy are there when the niners pick, then yeah Git r' done!

Ah, beautiful downtown SF...

has just about everything.

Plenty of trendy shopping. Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. Great places to eat. Kris Aquino's Moscone Center. Crowds of people. Noise. Excitement.

But all this time, something was missing...

Target. Yes, Target.

As reported by The Chronicle/SFgate, preliminary discussion has begun with Metreon owner Westfield about the possibility of a Target on the building's second floor.

As could be expected, this move will most likely be blocked (or at least delayed) much in the same fashion as Home Depot (now coming soon Lowes) in Bernal Heights.

I for one am a Target shopper and do like the chain. Yet, I find it difficult to imagine a Target at the Metreon location or surrounding area.

This does follow a trend previously discussed with Roid; 20 years from now there will only be 3 stores. Costco, Walmart and of course Target (geez, not even a Ross?!).

No malls. No specialty stores.

Metreon, the site where I've watched great films, ate good food, got hit on by Eliza Dushku

(well sorta), bought the latest Japanese Anime and even went clubbin'....will maybe become a Target.

Not bad. Just odd.

Golden State of Emergency

(as seen first seen via email)

You know, I was ready to completely disagree with Extenze-licious here but I've reconsidered. Maybe we got this all wrong.

Maybe we never should have traded Jack. Maybe we shouldn't trade Monta. Maybe we shouldn't trade anyone. Like ever again.

No one is allowed to leave. Keep them all. Make this unwatchable and unlivable. Let them fight each other and talk their shit. Let the media feast on them like vultures. Let the Oracle decay into a post apocalyptic vision only seen in Mad Max films (and a Tupac video).

Fans...hell, people will disappear. Let this all go to hell. Watch it all burn to the ground.

Maybe then Cohan-job and his horror show will escape through a black hole (not necessary in a Raider sense) never to be seen again.

We will then (maybe decades later) fondly dream of the day that an actual NBA team in the Bay Area will exist similar to the LA Clippers.

But until then....

Monta for Gay would be good. But will never happen. Monta for David Lee would be good. But will never happen.

The Jackson trade is probably the barometer for all trades going forward (i.e. Monta for the likes of Delonte, Wally, Ilguaskas, Duhon, Telfair, Foyle, etc. ).

Bosh or anyone like that wont come here regardless of cap room (or via trade).

In the end, I really don't care who we trade or lose. With Team Cohan we will always lose.

Larry Ellison is not walking through that door.....is he?

p.s. Wow, I'm in a odd mood.

Funny little clip from Yahoo! Sports. I'm sure some of ya'll that own Maurice Jones-Drew on your fantasy team must of been upset when he decided to take a knee right before the goal line during Sunday's game. So inconsiderate. ha.

vladimir radmonovic and raja belll for sjax!

maybe those guys 4-5 years ago!! but still, jack turned into a cancer and wasnt providing leadership to the younger likes monta. hopefully raja bell will be a good role model if some of the younger guys havent already been corrupted

Tastes like Curry

cool read in the NY times about Steph.

".....In their season opener against Houston, the Warriors (2-4) were trailing by 3 points in the final seconds when Curry grabbed the rebound of a teammate’s missed 3. Ellis was open on the wing, and clamoring for the ball, but Curry was not sure he had time to make the pass.

After a moment’s hesitation, Curry made a layup to make the Warriors’ margin of defeat a point, and walked off the court with Ellis glaring at him. During a recent show on KNBR-AM, the Warriors’ flagship radio station, callers said that Ellis, when he brings the ball upcourt, seldom passes to Curry."

Shoot man. It's going to be a long season. I was looking over the fantasy the other day and saw J richs stats and wondered how different our team would have been if that trade didn't go through. Or if we were able to get Garnett.
